In the world of high endurance 4×4 Jungle Adventure Expedition of the Rainforest Trophy Malaysia 2018, it’s all about power, skill, and toughness. Powered by Petron Turbo Diesel Euro 5, the Rainforest Trophy calls for teamwork, endurance, and some mad off-road driving skills from its participants in the jungles of east coast Malaysia.
Around 100 teams comprising of 4×4 extreme sports enthusiasts attempted to overcome a series of off-road challenges which went over the extent of just driving on roads less travelled. They were presented with situations where they had to build bridges, cross rivers, swaps, mud pools, and going downhill just to name a few.
Seven days of gruelling driving conditions concluded the second ever Rainforest Trophy at Gua Musang, Kelantan which was kicked off all the way from Kota Bharu on 14 July 2018. According to Faridah Ali, Petron Head of Retail, “The Rainforest Trophy definitely brought out the best among the participants as they unite for their love for the great outdoors. We are honored to be a part of this fun and challenging travel experience, and we applaud the teams for their amazing skills and hard work.”

Apart from the competition itself, the kind-hearted off-roaders and adventure enthusiasts were also given the opportunity to give back to those in need at Pos Gob, the farthest Orang Asli Village in Kelantan from 18 to 20 July. Participants successfully installed a goal post for the field, painted the madrasah, and repaired the villagers’ multipurpose hall. Massive respect!
